Born in 1973, Hieromonk Arkady (Migunov) was raised in the ancient Russian city of Tver. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1996 from the Tver Technical University. Shortly thereafter, he entered the Monastery of Boris and Gleb (Torzhok, Tver Diocese) and, in January 1999, professed monastic vows, receiving the name Arkady. One month later he was ordained to the Holy Priesthood.
With the blessing of His Holiness Alexy (of blessed memory), Patriarch of Moscow, he relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to serve Russian immigrants in the USA under the omophorion of His Eminence Dimitry (of blessed memory), Archbishop of the Dallas and the South, Orthodox Church in America.
From November 2007, he began his ministry to Russian immigrants in the Jacksonville, Florida area as an associate priest at St. Justin Martyr Orthodox Church. Continuing in this capacity, in December 2009 he was officially transferred to the Orthodox Church in America from the Moscow Patriarchate.
Due to the growth of this ministry, in 2012 he received a blessing from His Eminence Nikon, Archbishop of Boston, Locum Tenens of the Diocese of the South to establish a new Russian Orthodox parish in Jacksonville, Annunciation of the Holy Theotokos, where he presently serves.
